In this months Scrap Muse Kit you will be receiving a bottle of flocking. I am posting this page to show you how I used some of the flocking. I ran a bead of glue around the perimeter of the page and then poured flocking on top of the glue. Thanks for looking.

I have been talking about this project in the forums and it is now available in the store. Go to the projects thread to get your full instructions and step-by-step photos to follow along to make your own. I will be checking to see if you have any questions along the way.

I love this months collection of paper from Scrap Muse, it gives you a lot of options for design.  This layout used K and Company and Jenny Bowlin papers. I especially like all of the  creative embellishments that are includes in  the kit, crochet pieces, and lace .

I was SO ready for the bright colors in this month’s kit, and I know you’re going to love it as well.   I sat down with my kit and scrapped all day!  You will find that there are so many looks you can achieve from the kit.  Here’s a peek at one of my layouts.

I loved the embellishments with this month’s kit. Those little butterflies are adorable! I got the add on this month & I am especially enjoying the rub ons & the stamps. & the flock is so much fun! We’ll have an article in the newsletter about the flock, so be watching for that.

I used a vintage photo of my mom & her siblings in this layout. I love how easily this kit can be used in a vintage way.

When I opened the August kit my first impression was, ‘Wow, how fun will these papers be for a kids page!’  The bright colors and patterns are perfect for these kinds of layouts.  But what I found out and really love about the kit is that it is so versatile.  While it works great for a whimsical children’s page, with a little tweeking you can also put together an awesome page with a vintage feel.   And you don’t even need vintage photos.  The lace and crocheted butterflies are wonderful for both!

Here is my sneak peek for the August Kit! The versatility of this kit is just amazing and colors are so much better in real life!

Beach Baby

On this LO, I used glimmer mist to alter the color of the lace to better match my photos, and I painted the Prima lettering a hot pink to go with my beachy theme. Remember that with a little paint almost anything can be transformed into the exact colors you needed! The Doodle Bug stick with it adhesive swirls and flowers are covered with an white glitter.

Hey, everyone! I have been so enjoying creating with the August kit & would love to share a LO I made with it!

The bright summer colors just screamed “beachy” to me - and living in Florida, I have quite a few of those photos! I also got the embellishment add-on kit this month - the crystals and the beaded flower centers are from the add-on. They are limited so make sure you sign up if you want the add-on this month.

These mirrored birds from Heidi Swapp are so gorgeous!! I stamped a word onto the large one with Stazon ink and really liked the way it turned out. I also inked the edges of my chipboard letters to give them more definition and added some machine stitching to the edges of the music paper.

Congratulations to the winners of our July Contest, and thanks to everyone who created a layout for the contest.  The entries were amazing this month, and we were all inspired by the way you used paint on your layouts.  It was a tough decision, but we can now announce the winners:
